Surf & Turf with Garlic Butter could be one of my favorite combinations. I never thought that creamy blackened A1 Sauce would take it to the next level. This entire recipe was delicious and easy to make, not to mention inexpensive. That’s great news because every day can be steak night! 

Creativity

Living a ketogenic lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicated. Be creative with the proteins you love and make them enjoyable and simple. Believe it or not, this was the very first surf I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t go out to eat a lot, so It’s safe to say I’ve missed out on a fair share of steak nights.

Nonetheless, this Garlic Butter Surf & Turf Recipe has made up immensely for everything I missed. If you don’t have cooking skills, don’t worry. Try it for the first time and work at your craft. This will be great practice when trying to make better cooking decisions. Food gets more creative when you choose the ingredients you love the most.

Insulin

This creation is excellent in keeping Insulin in check for those who are Insulin resistant. That makes Keto so great for those looking to eat in happiness. The ketogenic lifestyle restricts carbs for us to focus on fats & proteins. Cutting carbs helps regulate our blood sugars, making us more Insulin sensitive, which helps us cut into fat that we want to lose when exercising. Carbs turn into sugar when processed into the body, and most of the time, when overeating, the body tends to get overwhelmed and shut down. We usually go into a heavy sleep after eating such meals. This Garlic Butter Surf & Turf w/ Creamy Blackened A1 Sauce does just the trick. 

Cooking with Seafood

Let’s get into this recipe a little further. I used Jumbo Atlantic Shrimp in this recipe, and it was so plump and juicy. In general, cooking with shrimp and seafood has been a great convenience. This is because seafood cooks very fast. I highly suggest keeping seafood on your keto list for those who live a busy lifestyle. There are so many options to choose from for seafood, and it’s rich in omega-three and other nutrients.

Cooking with Fattier Steak

A good steak isn’t hard to fall in love with. I’ve found myself cooking a lot of Ribeye, especially ones with beautiful marbling. I love a good sirloin, but I can’t lie; it’s too lean for your boy. You see, many people might think more skeletal protein is better. While I have no problem with lean proteins, the problem is leaner proteins spike Insulin. As we all know, Insulin spikes are a vital component of many health issues. Weight gain is just the start of things, and along comes diabetes, poor gut health, and many more factors. In my experience, going with fattier proteins has helped me lose over 50 pounds and counting by not triggering Insulin. A little Cajun Seasoning and grass-fed butter are all you need to get the job done quickly and easily.

Surf & Turf Creation

At last, you get a beautiful combination of the two called surf & turf. Feel free to serve with your favorite sautéed greens. You can surf & turf with lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops; you name it, you got it. This Garlic Butter Surf & Turf w/ Creamy Blackened A1 Sauce was just phenomenal. I got lost in the sauce with this one. This recipe was simple to make with no headache. Every night can be steak night!

Ingredients
  

Steak Ingredients (Both Sides)

Butterfly Shrimp Ingredients

Creamy Blackened A1 Sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat skillet to medium-high.
  • Clean, Cut Butterfly Shrimp.
  • Place cleaned shrimp into a bowl and add olive and your seasonings. (Set aside)
  • Rub 1 tbsp of Olive Oil on steak. Make sure to cover both sides.
  • Season both sides with steak seasonings
  • Add your Creamy Blackened A1 Sauce Ingredients in a small pot.
  • Cook on low heat for 5-6 minutes & set aside.
  • Place your butterfly shrimp onto a medium-high skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. (Set Aside)
  • Add oil to the skillet and cook your steak to your preferred rarity.
  • Remove steak and let it cool for 3-4 minutes.
  • Assemble and serve with preferred green (optional)
