Keto Fried Chicken

Keto Korean Fried Chicken was a Creation I have wanted to perfect ever since trying it in 2016. I knew that I could gather all the keto-friendly Ingredients, but I wondered still captured the right authentic flavor. The key to an excellent Korean fried chicken is the crunch factor, which Is achieved by double frying. I always fry my chicken In lard which is a great keto frying oil. If I don’t have fat, I’ll use either Olive Oil or Avocado Oil, perfect options. The second important thing to keto Korean fried chicken is hitting the flavor. I went with the spicy version In this recipe, using Korean chili flakes. You could also use Gochujang, which is Korean Chili Paste. Those are the critical ingredients to making Authentic Keto style Korean Fried Chicken. I’m happy to say I believe I nailed this recipe on the 2nd try, and now you and I can enjoy this recipe while committing to our ketogenic lifestyle!

Korean Fried Chicken

Korean Fried Chicken is genuinely in a class of its own when it comes to frying chicken. I learned about this experience a few years ago when I wasn’t on a ketogenic lifestyle. Korean Fried Chicken was brand new to me, and I couldn’t believe what I was missing out on. The first place I had Korean fried chicken was Bon Chon’s restaurant. This was in 2016 on my 26th birthday. It was random because, at the time, I needed to come up with a place to eat out for my birthday, and I had tried everything in the books. Bonchon Looked Interesting enough to try, so we gave it a shot. The restaurant was a great experience, and I loved the food. The Korean fried chicken came in various flavors, soy garlic and spicy.

The spicy version stole the show, in my opinion, since the spice profile was once I’ve never experienced. It was almost like a sweet and tangy flavor, except I constantly had to decide which flavor was more dominating. The soy garlic flavor was so delicious, like wow, that was a flavor I could eat all day. Tangy, sticky, and full of flavor, I asked for more sauce and couldn’t get it. The reason was that at Bonchon, they brush their sauce on each chicken by hand. That tells me that their sauce is made from scratch daily, or their sauce isn’t made for dipping. I fell in love that day, and my quest for a Keto Korean Fried Chicken would soon come to be.
