Short Ribs Ingredients
- 1 pound Short Ribs (Beef or Pork)
- Olive Oil
- Garlic Powder
Sweet and Spicy Sauce Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Soy sauce
- 1/3 cup Dark Soy Sauce
- 1/3 cup Sugar Free Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Gochugaru
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1 1/2 tbsp Keto honey
- 1 1/2 tbsp Keto Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Fresh Garlic Minced
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat Cast Iron Skillet to Medium-High.
- Preheat your large pot to medium-low.
- Wash & dry your ribs.
- Use olive oil and garlic powder to season your ribs.
- Chop your garlic to a fine mince set aside.
- On a medium-hot skillet, sear all sides of your ribs.
- In your large pot, add 1 tsp of olive oil and cook your minced garlic for one minute.
- Add all of your sweet and spicy ingredients into the large pot and stir thoroughly.
- Place your seared ribs from the skillet into the large pot.
- Make sure there is enough water throughout your sauce to cook slowly. If it's too thick add more water.
- Cook your ribs on medium-low for two hours, flipping the ribs every hour until tender.
- Use a knife or fork to check for tenderness & taste sauce for richness.
- Plate, garnish with sesame seeds and scallions. Serve however you please.
